The foundation officially kicked off its HealthWize scheme in December 2020 with a partnership with CrimsonBow Sickle Cell Initiative.
CrimsonBow Sickle Cell Initiative is an established not-for-profit organisation focused on creating support for every sickle cell individual to create a world for them where they live life in all its fullness. The organisation holds a monthly Treat A Warrior event, a free clinic where individuals living with sickle cell get free medical and psychological consultation, physiotherapy, medication and basic blood tests done.
The foundation’s partnership with CrimsonBow will see us supplying medications on a quarterly basis for their Treat A Warrior event. Medications for first quarter of 2021 were sourced and delivered to CrimsonBow on 21 December 2020.
With this, the HealthWize scheme becomes operational and we hope to partner with more organisations to ensure quality and affordable healthcare for underserved individuals/communities.
